Remote work that feels like an in-house hire

Remote developers succeed or fail on communication, not just code. I've worked as a fully remote freelance software engineer since 2018, and before that spent years in distributed enterprise teams, so I know the habits that keep remote work predictable: clear written updates, small pull requests, visible progress on your board and no surprises at the end of a sprint.

You get 10+ years of .NET experience across C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, SQL Server, Azure and AWS, from a developer who joins your stand-ups, follows your processes and treats your product as their own.

What I take on remotely

  • Feature development

New features end to end in ASP.NET Core, Blazor, React or Angular, from ticket to production.

  • APIs & integrations

REST APIs, background jobs and integrations with payment, CRM and third-party services.

  • Maintenance & support

Bug fixes, upgrades and dependency updates that keep your application healthy.

  • Upgrades & migrations

Moving .NET Framework and older .NET Core apps to .NET 8 and .NET 10.

  • Code reviews

Reviews and mentoring that raise the quality bar for your whole team.

  • DevOps & cloud

CI/CD pipelines, Docker and hosting on Azure or AWS.

Dedicated, part-time or contract

Every team needs something different, so the engagement is flexible:

  • Dedicated remote developer: a fixed monthly commitment, working on your product as a long-term member of the team.
  • Part-time: a set number of hours each week for ongoing features, maintenance or code reviews.
  • Contract: a fixed-scope project such as an MVP, an API, a migration or a performance fix, with agreed milestones.

You can start through Upwork, where I'm Top Rated Plus with a 100% Job Success Score, or with a direct contract.

A typical remote working day

  • A daily overlap window for stand-ups, pairing and quick decisions, agreed around your time zone.
  • Work tracked in your tools: GitHub or Azure DevOps, Jira or Azure Boards, Slack or Microsoft Teams.
  • Pull requests with tests and clear descriptions, ready for your team to review.
  • An end-of-day written update: what's done, what's next and anything that needs your input.

Working from India (IST, UTC+5:30), I overlap comfortably with the UK and Europe, and cover early mornings or evenings for teams in the USA and Australia.

Ways to work together

  • Dedicated (monthly)

A full-time or fixed monthly commitment for long-running products, at a predictable cost.

  • Part-time (weekly hours)

A reserved number of hours every week for features, support and reviews.

A defined project with milestones and acceptance criteria, delivered for an agreed budget.

Frequently asked questions

Can you work in our time zone?

I keep a fixed daily overlap with your working hours for meetings and quick decisions. With the UK and Europe the overlap is large; for the USA and Australia I cover early mornings or evenings.

Can I hire you full time as a dedicated developer?

Yes. Many clients work with me on a monthly basis as a dedicated remote developer for long-running products.

How do you report progress?

Through your project tools, pull requests and a short written update at the end of each day, plus regular demos.

What do you need to get started?

Access to your repository and project board, a short walkthrough of the product and the first priorities. I can usually start within a few days.

Is it a contract or employment?

I work as an independent contractor, through Upwork or a direct contract, so there's no payroll or long-term employment commitment.
