Privacy Policy

This website (sachintanwar.com) is the personal portfolio of Sachin Tanwar, a freelance software developer based in Noida, India ("I", "me"). This policy explains what personal data is collected when you visit the site or contact me, why it is collected, and the choices you have.

Information you give me

When you use the contact form I receive the following, by email:

your name and email address;
the subject and message you write.

I use this only to reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to manage that project. I do not sell it or add you to a mailing list. Enquiry emails are kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any resulting work, and then deleted. If you contact me by WhatsApp, Microsoft Teams, email, Upwork or social media, those services' own privacy policies also apply.

Information collected automatically

Google Analytics. I use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, referring site). Google sets cookies to do this. See Google's Privacy Policy; you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Google reCAPTCHA. The contact form is protected by reCAPTCHA to prevent spam. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information (such as device and application data) and sends it to Google. Its use is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Tawk.to live chat. The chat widget is provided by tawk.to. If you use the chat, your messages and any details you share are processed by tawk.to, which also sets cookies to keep the conversation going. See the tawk.to Privacy Policy.
Server logs. Like most websites, the hosting server records technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. This site uses cookies for analytics (Google Analytics), spam protection (reCAPTCHA), live chat (tawk.to) and to remember basic preferences such as display mode. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, although the chat and contact form may not.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal data I hold about you, or to object to its use. To make a request, email isachin100@gmail.com. I will respond within a reasonable time.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and access to enquiry emails is restricted to me. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information (such as passwords or payment details) through the contact form or chat.

I may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it was last changed.
